Ooot and abooot.

Just another weekend being all snap happy. It was a nice and sunny but bloody freezing Sunday in Wollaton Park with my digital camera.






These next 5 photos were also taken at Wollaton Park with my digital camera but this time I put Vaseline over my UV filter, then carefully wiped some of it off, clean and clear and under control, so that'd it'd make part of my photo sharp and the rest, well, not. I found it works well with very busy images and I just love the autumn colours too...

Since I've had my Mini Diana I haven't put through a black and white film so thought I would, I decided to use a 1600 iso but later started using flash and blew people's faces out, lower iso film + flash in people's faces = better photos, lesson learnt. Here's what I did come out with, a couple of multiple exposure panoramic images that I quickly took at work in the office and studio....

I also took the camera out to an Eighties Matchbox B-line Distaster gig, one of my favourite bands, if you've not heard of them and you like psyhcosis rock, I highly recommend checking them out!! The man above is Mr Guy Mcknight, the lead singer, the picture's not amazing but I'm glad most of it came out, he rules!! Below are the band on stage too... well it's mostly the crowd, I like the atmosphere.

Knock, Knock...

I gave myself a little project, to photograph a friend and then tell them a joke and photograph them again, I thought the results would be interesting. I couldn't do it properly with Phil as he was my joke bible so here he is entertaining himself with Viz, I love his smile.

Siobhan, my Irish -Austrailian friend, she laughs at me alot, I think she thinks I'm funny like a clown, I think alot of people do. I love taking photos of her, she's so pretty and she doesn't mind me poking a Pentax in her face. Her reaction was so good I took three photos, she cried with laughter, I told the joke wrong, she still thinks I'm a clown.

Jacqui, brilliant lady, I love her laugh, it's filthy.

Kirtsy Fox, great name, great gal, her laugh is a reserved one and it makes her cute.

I wanna do more of these.
I think I will.

Deryshire Dales

Some photos from my trip to Derbyshire a couple of weeks ago. They're shot on digital, shocking I know but I figured since I work in a digital environment that I should make an effort. I'm not sure whether I just don't like using digital cameras outside of a studio or if I don't like landscape photography. I don't particularly think I'm good at it so maybe that's the problem. Look at the lovely autumn colours though, lush!!

I just missed Halloween with this picture which is a shame, but nevermind it still looks freaky regardless of that fact. It was shot on my 400D with a 3 minute exposure. My boyfriend is holding a small torch under his face trying to be as still as possible. It was a tester really, inspired by Alejandro Chaskielberg who just loves to paint with light, his photos are hyper-real and awe inspiring. I'll probably try some more night portraits but injecting a bit of flash me thinks.
