Return to Barcelona

Nah, I haven't been back but I am going to upload some not so good monochrome photos from the same holiday as before, with the lovely polaroid snaps...




There were loads more that I really liked but couldn't scan as they're really over exposed, I think I may have finally learnt the lesson about using high speed film in bright sunlight... It's not a great idea!!

Narrative

A bit random but I just realised that I never produced a blog about my last brief at uni which was Narrative. I got an A for it which I thought was strange as I'd had B's up unitl then and thought that this was my worst project but see what you think... It's based upon the children's book Peace at Last and is shot on digital 1600iso and was shot at night with only ambient light (lamps, lights, outside lamps etc), bascially no flash involved. (Unless I'm in a studio, I'm useless with it).

More Polaroids? YES!

I think I have an addiction, I've bought two more packs of out of date polaroid, I love it too much not too spend the money on them and now I have Polaroid albums all the way from South Korea to fill, so I'll just HAVE to keep taking them for as long as I can buy them!
I shot these photos in Wollaton Park, it snowed, I had a day off and fancied seeing what a Polaroid would lend to a snowy landscape, and the answer is Purple! I love them though, I'm really annoyed that the one just above didn't come out better though but hey ho, it's still nice...

I'm from Nottingham.

My boyfriend is currently making a film about a music promoter in Nottingham (I'm not from London) and they did a gig in london, I took a couple of photos, inbetween supping dirty pints in a place called the stags head. I haven't edited them as I like the dirty dusty feel, it ties in with the whole scene of the day. The film used was Ilford HP5 rated at 1600 as the place was dark and dingey!

These are the three more miscellanious photos, the street performer was going to be in a set but the others that I took weren't good enough. I love this guys smile, it's frekking huge and his voice was really funny as he was telling my dad to go over to him. When he did , he ended up with a fruit necklace and a funny hat, he was my second favourite of the street performers and I had so many to choose from. He should feel lucky! The one below is of the boats in Port Vell, it was a lovely sunny day and I couldn't resist a snap. The one below is of the smiling lobster or is it a crayfish? The debate rages on...
